Piotruś

Piotruś (727 metres above sea level) is a mountain in the eastern part of the Beskid Dukielski.

Its name stems from the Romanian word pietros meaning rocky, which refers to the numerous outcrops of sandstone you can see while hiking on the slopes of Piotruś. Some caves have also been discovered there.

Between Piotruś and Ostra Mountain (687 metres above sea level), there is the valley of the Jasionka river. The river has created there a narrow, deep valley with varied landscape and forest which remains largely natural. There is a yellow trail leading from Dukla, through Cergowa, Zawadka Rymanowska and Piotruś to Stasiane.
