Kamień

Kamień, at 859 metres above sea level, is the tallest mountain in the eastern and central part of the Beskid Niski. It has two peaks and is flat on the top, while its slopes are rather steep.

It is made more interesting by the sandstone outcrops and the exposed stone walls and blocks. On the south, north and west slopes of Kamień, there are remains of old quarries, now covered by the forest. The forests on the mountain also hide a cemetery from the First World War. In 2000, the Kamień nad Jaśliskami Nature Reserve was established to protect the mountain.
